
Jazmine was raised and born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Pam is her mom. She is an ex-backup singer at Philadelphia International Records. Her father gave her a job as the curator for the Historic Strawberry Mansion. She and her family then moved into the historical landmark. She is a 2005 graduate of the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts where she was singing music major. Sullivan performed as the contralto for the youth choir, and, a few more years later, she was a singer as an adult in the choir. Sullivan's exposure to secular music was initially limited "I did solos in churches and a person wanted me to be a part of a gospel label when I had turned eleven, however I wasn't prepared to sign that contract," she recalls. Then, McDonald's held a contest with children from large cities. I was selected to perform "Accept The Grace God Gives" on the show Showtime At the Apollo. And the crowd responded very well. Stevie Wonder sang her part on his birthday, 13 years old. Sullivan was 15 when she, was first signed to Jive Records. It was her first time signing with Jive Records in the year 15. The singer-songwriter produced an entire album, but the album was never released. Sullivan was eventually removed at the hands of the company. They had a strong working relations to Missy Elliott. Elliott produced many of her tracks, including "Backstabbers" and "Backstabbers," which was produced by Timbaland.
